We plan for in-person worship with your safety in mind.

To allow for proper cleaning and crowd control, we offer two services:

8 AM Traditional and 10 AM Contemporary.

We care about your health and safety.

  • Hand sanitizer stations will be at all entrances.

  • Masks are required. Disposable masks are available for those who need them.

  • Cleaning of bathrooms, surfaces and worship spaces will occur before and after each service.

  • Seating will be limited to 25% capacity and family groups will be seated by an usher, 6 feet apart.

  • Limited physical contact is encouraged - avoid handshakes and hugs. Follow the 6 feet apart guidelines while on campus.

  • Tithes and offerings may be dropped in the dropbox. Online giving is encouraged.

  • Food and drink will not be served on campus.

  • Bulletins, Bibles and hymnals will not be provided in hard copy, but you are encouraged to bring your own Bible with you. Lyrics will be on-screen.

Will I be required to wear a mask?

Yes. With the new ordinance issued by Leon County government, we ask that anyone over the age of six years old wear a mask in the building on Sunday mornings, as services are open to the public and meet the standards issued by the county for requiring face masks. We will have masks available to those who have been unable to purchase a mask or who come without one. You can find more information about the Leon County ordinance here.

Will you be taking temperatures as people enter?

Yes. We also encourage everyone to regularly check their temperatures and if you exhibit any signs of fever, to stay home and self-isolate. If you arrive and your temperature is too high, we will ask you to wait in the air-conditioned Asbury Lobby and then be re-tested. If your temperature is still elevated, we will invite you to join us online, from your home.

Will physical distancing be practiced in the Sanctuary?

Yes. We ask that you practice the CDC recommended distancing guidelines of 6 feet apart while on the Killearn UMC campus. We will be taking RSVPs for those who wish to join us in-person for worship so that we can maintain proper distancing in the Sanctuary. Ushers will guide you and your party to a seat, and we kindly ask you to rely on their assistance so that we can make sure everyone is seated efficiently. Masks will also be required at all times in the Santuary. As you are led by our worship teams, we ask, for the health of everyone in the sanctuary, that you refrain from singing. We strongly encourage everyone to participate in other ways, such as clapping, raising hands, mouthing the words or meditating on them quietly. THANK YOU for sacrificing your personal comfort for our collective safety.

Will there be kids programming?

Killearn Kids programming is available for children 6 weeks - 6th grade at the 10 AM service. Please contact Lori Keller, Director of Chidlrens Ministries at Children and youth are also welcome to attend worship in the Sanctuary with their families.

Nursery is available for children ages 6 weeks - 2 years.

For youth, please join Killearn Student Ministries on Sundays at 6 PM for Sunday Night Live, and Wednesdays for K Groups (small groups) at 6 PM. Masks and safe physical distancing will be required.

What measures are being taken to limit person-to-person contact?

In order to give you a touch-free experience, we encourage you to give or tithe online, by mail or by using the dropbox as you enter. We will not be passing offering plates or handing out bulletins and other paper materials. The bulletin will be available online, or we encourage you to sign up for Killearn UMC eNews. Also, we will not be providing hard copy Bibles or hymnals. All Scriptures and lyrics will be displayed on-screen, and we invite you to bring your own Bible with you to service.

I'm not ready to come back to worship on campus. Will there still be online worship?

Yes! We encourage you to continue to join with us in worship online at 8am and 10am. Your participation is important. We are a family no matter where we are!
